中國(guó)和東盟是陸海相連的親密近鄰。雙方1991年啟動(dòng)對(duì)話進(jìn)程，2003年建立戰(zhàn)略伙伴關(guān)系。15年來(lái)，中國(guó)—東盟關(guān)系全面迅速發(fā)展，各領(lǐng)域合作成果豐碩。

　　一是政治互信不斷深化。中國(guó)第一個(gè)加入《東南亞友好合作條約》，第一個(gè)同東盟建立戰(zhàn)略伙伴關(guān)系，堅(jiān)定支持東盟在區(qū)域合作中的中心地位，帶動(dòng)其他國(guó)家更加重視并加快發(fā)展同東盟的關(guān)系。雙方高層交往密切，政策溝通順暢，各層級(jí)、各領(lǐng)域?qū)υ挋C(jī)制日臻成熟，中國(guó)—東盟關(guān)系已成為東盟同對(duì)話伙伴關(guān)系中最具活力、最富內(nèi)涵的一組關(guān)系。

China and ASEAN are close neighbors enjoying geographical proximity. The two sides launched the dialogue process in 1991 and established a strategic partnership in 2003. Over the past 15 years, China-ASEAN relations have been developing rapidly in an all-round manner, yielding fruitful results in different areas.

First, political mutual trust between the two sides is deepening. China was the first to join the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, and the first to establish strategic partnership with ASEAN. China firmly supports the centrality of ASEAN in regional cooperation, and inspires other countries to attach greater importance to and accelerate the development of relations with ASEAN. With close high-level exchanges, smooth policy communication, and mature dialogue mechanisms at all levels and in all fields, China-ASEAN relations have become the most dynamic and substantial one among ASEAN's relations with its dialogue partners.

　　二是經(jīng)貿(mào)合作迅猛發(fā)展。中國(guó)第一個(gè)與東盟簽署自貿(mào)協(xié)定，建成了世界上最大的發(fā)展中國(guó)家自貿(mào)區(qū)，當(dāng)前雙方正全面落實(shí)自貿(mào)區(qū)升級(jí)版。2017年中國(guó)—東盟貿(mào)易額超過(guò)5000億美元，較15年前增長(zhǎng)近6倍，中國(guó)連續(xù)9年成為東盟第一大貿(mào)易伙伴，東盟連續(xù)7年成為中國(guó)第三大貿(mào)易伙伴，雙向直接投資累積近2000億美元。

　　三是人文交流日益擴(kuò)大。2017年雙方人員往來(lái)達(dá)4900萬(wàn)人次，雙向留學(xué)生總數(shù)超過(guò)20萬(wàn)人，每周近3000架次航班往來(lái)于中國(guó)與東盟各國(guó)。我們近年先后舉辦了中國(guó)—東盟海洋合作年、教育交流年、旅游合作年和創(chuàng)新年，吸引越來(lái)越多民眾參與到中國(guó)—東盟合作中。日前在曼谷詩(shī)麗吉會(huì)展中心舉辦，詩(shī)琳通公主親自剪彩的中國(guó)科學(xué)院科技創(chuàng)新成果巡展就是中國(guó)—東盟創(chuàng)新年的重要活動(dòng)之一。

Second, economic cooperation and trade between the two sides is growing robustly. China was the first to sign free trade agreement with ASEAN, and build the world's largest free trade zone of developing countries. At present, both sides are making all-out efforts to upgrade the free trade zone. In 2017, the trade volume between China and ASEAN topped US$ 500 billion, nearly six times higher than what it was 15 years ago. China has been ASEAN's largest trading partner for nine consecutive years. ASEAN has been China's third largest trading partner for seven years in a row. The two-way direct investment reaches nearly US$ 200 billion.

Third, cultural and people-to-people exchange is expanding. In 2017, the total number of visits made by people from the two sides was 49 million. The combined amount of ASEAN students in China and Chinese students in ASEAN exceeded 200,000, and there were nearly 3,000 flights between China and ASEAN countries each week. In recent years, we have successively held the China-ASEAN Years of Maritime Cooperation, Educational Exchange, Tourism Cooperation and Innovation, attracting more and more people to participate in China-ASEAN cooperation. A few days ago, Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn cut the ribbon for the Chinese Academy of Sciences Innovation Expo at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, which was one important event of the China-ASEAN Year of Innovation.
