例 13 At the time of negotiation ,5% commission to be deducted from invoice value and should be remitted by the negotiating bank in the form of bank draft in favor of ABC Co.

譯文:議付到期時(shí)，將按發(fā)票金額扣除5%的傭金，該扣除金額需由議付行以銀行匯票形式開給ABC公司。

(2) honor

honor 之意是“兌現(xiàn)，承付”，即 to pay or to accept a draft complying with the terms of credit。兌現(xiàn)票據(jù)（支票、匯票、信用證、托收）即honour a bill( cheque, draft,etc. )。

例 14 This L/C will be duly honored only if the seller submits whole set of documents that all terms and requirements under L/C No. 123456 have been complied with.

譯文:只有出口人提供與信用證123456號(hào)相符的全套單據(jù)，本行才予以承兌。（“承兌”意為到期支付）

例 15 We trust you will honor our draft on presentation.

譯文:我們相信我方呈遞匯票，你方會(huì)如期支付。

4. shipping advice, shipping instruction and shipping note

這三個(gè)術(shù)語(yǔ)，均有“發(fā)運(yùn)通知”的意思，但又各有其不同的含義。

(1) shipping advice

指 a document prepared by an exporter and inform his customer of the shipped details，including name of commodity, S/.C No. , L/C No. , marks, quantity, vessel name,amount and so on，翻譯為“（已）發(fā)貨通知”,即指由出口商制發(fā)的通知客戶的貨物已裝船詳情的一種單據(jù)，包括商品名稱、合同號(hào)、信用證號(hào)、嘜頭、數(shù)量、船名、金額等。請(qǐng)?zhí)貏e注意：它是賣方在FOB,CFR價(jià)格術(shù)語(yǔ)條件下，完成裝貨任務(wù)后，發(fā)給買方的通知，以便買方能及時(shí)安排保險(xiǎn)。

例 16 Your shipping advice should be sent to us within 24 hours after shipment.

譯文:你方的（已）發(fā)貨通知應(yīng)在裝運(yùn)后24小時(shí)之內(nèi)發(fā)送我方。

(2) shipping instruction

指 a document prepared by an exporter and sent through his shipping and forwarding agent to the ship-owners giving them directions and detailed information concerning the consignment，翻譯為“裝船通知，裝貨通知，裝船命令，裝運(yùn)指令”，即指由一個(gè)出口商制發(fā)的通過他的貨運(yùn)人和運(yùn)輸代理送交船主的一種單據(jù)，給予他裝運(yùn)指令以及有關(guān)托運(yùn)的詳細(xì)信息，也指進(jìn)口商在發(fā)貨前發(fā)給出口商的有關(guān)裝運(yùn)的具體要求。

例 17 We trust that the above-mentioned shipping instruction is clear to you and hope that the shipment will give the users entire satisfaction.

譯文：我們相信貴司已了解了上述裝運(yùn)通知的內(nèi)容，并希望此貨物會(huì)讓客戶非常滿意。

(3) shipping note

指 a document prepared by the ship-owners giving the superintendent ( official in charge) of the docks details of the cargo to be carried. A duplicate copy is signed by the superintendent as a receipt for the goods. 翻譯為“裝船通知單”，即指船主制發(fā)的，通知碼頭管理人（負(fù)責(zé)官員）有關(guān)待裝船貨的細(xì)節(jié)的單據(jù)，其復(fù)印本由管理員簽署后作為貨物收據(jù)。

例 18 Please make sure that your shipping note is all right.

譯文:請(qǐng)確保你方的裝船通知單準(zhǔn)確無誤。

5. goods，article，produce，product

goods，article，produce，product都有“商品”、“產(chǎn)品”、“貨物”之意，但它們的具體含義是不同的。

goods表示商品時(shí)，是一切貨品的統(tǒng)稱，不單指一件，而是指“一批”，所以翻譯時(shí)可譯為“批貨”、“貨物”如：

air-borne goods 空運(yùn)貨物

goods delivery貨物的運(yùn)送

The goods are sold FOB.該批貨按離岸價(jià)出售。

article指一種商品，即指單件而非一類。如daily article指日用品，也可指同種商品具有不同的規(guī)格; Article No. 10指第10號(hào)商品。

produce指天然物資，而product則指制成品（things produced)。如：

produce of fields 農(nóng)作物 

products company 制造公司

local products 土產(chǎn)
