參訓(xùn)的100名婦女中，有80名來(lái)自烏波盧島Faleapuna村、Afega村、Maagiagi村和薩瓦伊島Safotu村。中國(guó)老師將培訓(xùn)他們一些基本的縫紉技能，包括如何操作腳踏式縫紉機(jī)，如何縫制童裝、女裝和男裝等日常服飾。與去年相比，今年我們?cè)黾恿艘粋€(gè)高級(jí)縫紉技術(shù)培訓(xùn)，為20名來(lái)自薩服裝產(chǎn)業(yè)、具備一定基礎(chǔ)的工人提供更專(zhuān)業(yè)的培訓(xùn)，幫助他們進(jìn)一步提高縫紉技術(shù)水平。

Among the 100 women who are going to receive the training this year, 80 are from the four villages in Uoplu and 20 are from one village in Sawaii. The Chinese teachers will teach 80 participants elementary sewing skills including how to operate pedal sewing machines, how to sew children's, women's and men's wear, etc. What's more, this year, there will be an advanced training course especially designed for 20 participants who will utilize electric sewing machines.

Ladies and gentlemen,

　　為了今天縫紉技術(shù)培訓(xùn)班的正式舉辦，有許多人在幕后付出了艱辛的努力。首先，我要感謝薩摩亞政府，特別是薩外交貿(mào)易部，婦女、社區(qū)和社會(huì)發(fā)展部，對(duì)本次培訓(xùn)的大力支持。他們與中國(guó)使館共同探討實(shí)施本項(xiàng)目，完善培訓(xùn)方案，協(xié)助選擇部分村和學(xué)員，并提供了部分車(chē)輛用于運(yùn)送培訓(xùn)物資。

　　其次，我要感謝不遠(yuǎn)萬(wàn)里來(lái)到薩摩亞的中國(guó)老師，他們中許多人是第二次來(lái)到薩摩亞。他們的敬業(yè)態(tài)度和奉獻(xiàn)精神贏得了當(dāng)?shù)孛癖姷淖鹁础ＴS多老師一到薩摩亞，沒(méi)有休息，就開(kāi)始緊張地組裝縫紉機(jī)，每天工作到凌晨?jī)牲c(diǎn)，周末也在加班。他們就希望盡快將自己的知識(shí)和技能傳授給當(dāng)?shù)貙W(xué)員。今天，在開(kāi)班前，這些老師完成了所有準(zhǔn)備工作，非常不容易。我提議，讓我們共同為這些可愛(ài)的老師鼓掌，向他們致謝！

The successful opening of this training program will not be possible without the concerted efforts of many people both from Samoa and China.

Firstly, I would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Samoan government, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Ministry of Women, Community and Social Development, for their strong support in collaboration with Chinese Embassy in implementing this program including selecting the villages and participants and providing vehicles for transporting the supplies for training purpose, etc.

Secondly, I would like to express our heartfelt appreciations to the Chinese teachers who have come all the way from China, and also to the Chinese engineers and technicians who have been based in Samoa for various China-Aid projects. In the past week, they have worked together day and night to assemble all the sewing machines, sometimes late into nights or during weekends, in order that all the machines could be assembled and ready for use in time for the training program. Now all these technical preparation work has been finished. Let us give all the teachers and engineers and technicians a big round of applause for their hard work. Thank you!
