【原文】Retention of title
If the parties have validly agreed on retention of title, the goods shall remain the property of the Seller until the complete payment of the price, or as otherwise agreed.
【譯文】所有權保留
如果雙方確實同意對所有權保留，則在完成貨款支付前該貨物的所有權仍歸賣方，或另行規(guī)定。
【賞析】
1.if引導條件狀語從句，until引導時間狀語從句。
2.retention of title在譯為中f的時候可以將名詞轉為動詞。
3.“the goods shall... ”在譯$中文時，將goods和property兩個主語和賓語組合成偏正名詞短語“貨物的所有權”，更符合中文表達的邏輯習慣。
(六）知識產(chǎn)權條款(Intellectual Property)
例6
【原文】
Unless otherwise agreed in schedule 1, X X X owns all intellectual property：
a)In and to all deliverables； or
b)Arising out of the provision of the Services,
and to extent any such intellectual property is owned by Vendor, Vendor assigns all such intellectual property to XXX.
【譯文】
除非附件1另有協(xié)議，XXX擁有全部的知識產(chǎn)權：
1）所有可交付物附帶的；或者
2）因提供該服務所產(chǎn)生的，
以及知識產(chǎn)權屬于供應商的，供應商應轉讓所有該等知識產(chǎn)權給X X X。
【賞析】
1. unless引導條件狀語從句，是否定意義，譯為“除非……”。
2.a、b兩個條款都是修飾“知識產(chǎn)權”。由于該條款行文格式固定，因此翻譯時，仍保持原文結構。
