英語(yǔ)中高級(jí)口譯聽力部分除了高級(jí)口譯筆試有 Note-taking and Gap-filing項(xiàng)目外，其余三項(xiàng)均相同，即Spot Dietation,Listening, Comprehension、Listening and Translation。這三項(xiàng)的不同之處在于內(nèi)容與難度，應(yīng)試技巧則基本一致?，F(xiàn)在我們以上海市英語(yǔ)高級(jí)口譯崗位資格證書考試2000年3月考試樣題為例進(jìn)行說明并加以分析。

考生一拿到試卷就應(yīng)迅速瀏覽一遍，要重點(diǎn)留意試題文章中的第一段，以便抓住文章的中心。如高級(jí)口譯筆試聽力部分第一個(gè)項(xiàng)目Part A: Spot Dictation 中:

For centuries Oxford University has been at Britain's intellectual heart, perhaps the___(1) among Europe's many ancient universities.

由于英語(yǔ)文章的特點(diǎn)是開門見山見主題，于是可知此文主要介紹牛津大學(xué)的歷史沿革與發(fā)展?fàn)顩r。從空格（1）來看，由于該空格前有the，后有among，顯然該空格所填的詞要用最高級(jí)，答案果然為“most prestigious”。有些詞不待聽完即可憑日常所知的時(shí)事知識(shí)作出判斷，如“.…. and such overseas politicians as American President Bill Clinton and former Pakistani___（6）Benazir Bhutto.”空格（6)前為巴基斯坦，后為布托，顯然該空格中應(yīng)填“總理”，因此考生不管是在聽之前還是在聽之后都可作個(gè)“PM”的記號(hào)，正式填寫時(shí)就可填入Prime Minister。

在中級(jí)口譯筆試2000年3月聽力部分同樣的項(xiàng)目中，從第一段最初的兩句“Experience is the great teacher. A student needs to be well versed in theory.”就可推測(cè)出其主題為課堂理論知識(shí)應(yīng)與課外實(shí)踐相結(jié)合。因此從接下來的一句“In other words, he can learn___(1) from books.”可推測(cè)出空格（1)中所填的內(nèi)容可能是：a great deal, a lot, much 這幾個(gè)詞組。因此，考生一聽到空格（1)的內(nèi)容就可將所聽到的詞組縮寫為a.g.d，正式填寫時(shí)就可填入a great deal。

以高級(jí)口譯2000年3月筆試上半場(chǎng)卷聽力部分Part B：Listening Comprehension（聽力理解）中 Questions 6 to 10為例，標(biāo)題為“Questions 6 to 10 are based on the following news”。英語(yǔ)新聞的特點(diǎn)就是首先報(bào)道最重要的內(nèi)容，考生能否聽懂第一段尤其是第一句尤為關(guān)鍵，當(dāng)然報(bào)道時(shí)也有將最重要的內(nèi)容放在最后一段最后一句的。

因此，若瀏覽一下第6題“What happened according to the report from Manila?”之后的選項(xiàng)(A)至(D）就可預(yù)先選定選項(xiàng)（D）" A helicopter was reported missing.”由于新聞報(bào)道經(jīng)常用“It is reported...”（據(jù)報(bào)道）的句式，而其他三個(gè)選項(xiàng)都沒有，所以選項(xiàng)（D)最符合英語(yǔ)新聞的特點(diǎn)?？忌⒁饴牭谝痪洌骸癕ANILA：A helicopter carrying eight people was reported missing after it unloaded a cargo of food and other provisions for workers digging a major funnel for a water supply project for Manila, an official said yesterday.”從最前面的“...was reported missing...”可斷定選項(xiàng)（D）為正確答案。

第7題：“What did the Iraqi Ambassador ask the United Nations to do?"

根據(jù)英語(yǔ)新聞的特點(diǎn)，考生要注意聽第一句：“Iraq asked the United Nations to continue providing humanitarian aid despite cutting off exports of crude oil under the UN's oil-for-food programme, UN officials said.” 從 “to continue providing humanitarian aid”可斷定選項(xiàng)(A)為正確答案。

第8題：“What was proposed at the joint meeting staged by the European Union?"

此段一開始似乎讓人聽不太明白，這時(shí)考生應(yīng)注意聽最后一段的最后一句：“...the EU is making concrete efforts to bolster its military clout in Europe.”由此可斷定選項(xiàng)(B)為正確答案。

第9題：“What was disclosed in a survey released by the US Defence Department on Tuesday?"

考生要注意聽第一句“WASHINGTON: A high percentage of blacks, Hispanics and other minorities in the US military complained in a survey released by the pentagon on Tuesday that they have experienced racially offensive behaviour in the armed services.”要重點(diǎn)聽“in the US military complained”與“racially offensive behaviour”,由此可斷定選項(xiàng)（D)為正確答案。

第10題:“As compared with the same period last year,how much did Japan's trade surplus drop?"

考生要注意聽第一句“TOKYO:Japan's trade surplus plunged 14.4 per cent in October from its level a year ago.”由此可斷定選項(xiàng)（C）為正確答案。
